The Earth Shaker There was a long, low rumbling sound. The men paused, their picks suspended in the air. The rumbling grew louder and closer... The Terrasaur, also known as the Earth Shaker, is a reptile that has adapted itself to subterranean life. Its long neck can be folded up on itself as it maneuvers through the narrow tunnels where it makes its home. The minor earthquakes that occasionally shudder through Onu-koro are said to be caused by passing Earth Shakers. . . . The Suba-YaiTaka Thief of children, robber of lives Death stalks on swiftest claws With jaws of steel and whipping tail The sight of me gives final pause The Suba-YaiTaka dwells on the plains of Mata Nui. It is most active during the day; during the night, it hides in its burrow to rest until daybreak. Although many believe it to be a vicious, man-eating monster, most Suba-YaiTaka work in packs to hunt the oldest and weakest wild cattle in a herd. . . .
