If day breaks
Then night must fall

If the dreamer awakens
He first must sleep

If the sun rises
The stars must fall

If there is a beginning
There must be an end...

Nui Jaga

Nui Jaga 1!
Out of the foam came a monstrous creature
Strong as steel and cold as hail
But oh! beware its most terrible feature
For lightning fast is its vicious tail...

The Nui Jaga were once a peaceful race of metal-workers.
Famed throughout Mata Nui for their mystical masks,
which granted the wearer great strength and wisdom,
the Nui Jaga lived for many years in peace.

Their fate was sealed when, in a moment of arrogance,
a young mask-smith proclaimed his power to be equal
to that of the Toa themselves.... if not greater.
As he spoke these words, his face began to flatten,
and his mouth split wide open as a gaping wound.
His once-skilful hands were made into crippling claws,
shaped like the very masks which brought on his hubris.

Wing Lizard

Wing Lizard!

The Villager paused.
The humming sound grew louder, as a dark shadow fell over him...
A fierce wind began to whip around his face.

The Wing Lizard lives in the rocky deserts of Mata Nui,
terrorizing the village of Po-Koro with its aerial attacks.

It flies by rapidly moving its wings back and forth.
Although it can maintain a hovering state, the Wing Lizard
often swoops down upon its victims, ripping off
one limb at a time.
