Optimus Primal
Optimus Primal is bland, good-natured, and has the ability to make hackeneyed speeches in an
impassioned tone of voice which suggests that he believes every word he says. According to
Autobot logic, this makes him perfect leader material.
Speculation that he secretly idolizes The Skipper from Gilligan's Island is probably just that;
speculation. The fact that Cheetor is vaguely reminiscent of
Gilligan, Rhinox of The Professor,
Air Razor of Mary Ann and
Black Arachnia of Ginger should also be considered mere
coincidences (especially as that would suggest that Rattrap
and Dinobot are Mr. and Mrs. Howell.)
Although there is a marked tendency to refer to Optimus Primal as a "monkey", he is in fact an anatomically incorrect gorilla. Optimus Primal would like to take this moment to note that gorillas are apes, not monkeys. Ape, not monkey. Get it straight.
It is thought that Optimus Primal, like Rhinox, is interested in Biology. It is also thought that Primal is interested in Cheetor, especially due to one episode in which he serenades "his little guy". However, as the Maximals seem to have no problem with same-gender (?) hugging and kissing, it may be that they have different "norms" for social interaction.
